The Discovery 2 CVs are of the largest in the range due to the Discovery 2's front axle having an open knuckle allowing space for a much larger CV joint allowing use of a thicker CV wall and bigger balls which reduces stress. This in turn allows an increase in the size of the shaft at the CV end to be increased to a much larger 24 spline, the same as a 24 spline at the diff end. For this reason 2 front shafts are included in this kit.
