Their chassis are heavy duty galvanised units made in-house and are the only manufacturer of the correct replacement land rover chassis for each year. The guys at Richard Chassis have been established for over 23 years and this shows in their workmanship which is second to none.
The service we provide at Mudsport is a “chassis swap”, this includes the removal of all body work and mechanical components from your tired rusty chassis, disposal of your old chassis and replacement of all the body and mechanical components on to a new heavy duty galvanised chassis, road tested ready for your collection.
As the work is undertaken we will replace any tired, damage or broken copper brake lines, bolts, brackets we class as trivial items and while the new chassis is bare it is a very simple job to replace. Any other work you would like carried out while the body is off your land rover can be discussed at this point as it will reduce labour cost.
In addition to the Chassis swap service we can provide a full or part restoration service that in addition to the new chassis would include such items as body work, paint finishes interior, soft tops etc.
